AQHA #4799643 (Incentive Fund)

Sorrel Gelding

June and October 2008

His first year of riding and he did very well.  He is extremely intelligent and has a comfortable gait at the walk, trot & canter.  He walks out on the trails - doesn't drag along in the back.  He is equally at ease as the lead horse or the tail horse.

June 2008 - A grueling two-day Iowa trailride - first time on a picket line.  He did very well.

3/28/06 - This guy is a peach!  He is cutting and heading off cows in his stall, but can't figure out why his mom doesn't want to play with him.  At just two days old he drops down on his front legs and pivots from left to right, turns back, lopes a couple circles and then plants the right hind foot and does a perfect rollback!  He's doing this all for the fun of it and he is just a natural.  He's ready for team penning, cutting and reining already - BUT he hasn't started his halter classes yet....so watch out.  This boy is going to be big and bold!  A beautiful small head and ears with just enough white blaze to be flashy, long straight and sound legs with one white stocking, and a short back, big hip and chest.  He's extremely personable and easy to handle.  He loves to go down to the arena and run bigger, larger circles around his mom.

4/12/06 - Now that the weather is getting warmer he really enjoys going out with his mom in the pasture and eating a little grass, but mostly is busy running, bucking, and being nosey.  He's very independent and he'll leave his mom and come back into the barn to help clean stalls....or pester us.  He'd much rather follow us around than stay with his mom.

2/11/07 - Lucky is really growing up and filling out (he's almost as tall as our 2 yr olds).  He is just one super specimen and we are very excited about his potential.  He just loves attention, but sometimes is a little bit more "boy" and can get a bit cocky at times.  As soon as the weather permits he'll be getting a "job" which will help; he's bored right now.  He is extremely athletic, with very smooth and natural glide to his gaits.
